SAVED ART   (PR)

The "Arte Salva" campaign started on March 25, 2020, when a group of 6 artists and producers based in Curitiba, came together to create and voluntarily manage the campaign. The need to initiate this action came due to COVID-19, which in a short time has already affected hundreds of artists in the state. With the lack of work and the delay in receiving government assistance, the situation worsened rapidly, it was then that the group got together and decided to map these artists so that they could collaborate with as many people as possible. The "Arte Salva" campaign from March until the present moment has already served more than 200 families of artists and technicians from the working class of the Performing Arts (artists, producers and technicians) of Curitiba and the Metropolitan Region PREVENTED to work due to the current pandemic, leading even their homes basic food baskets, cleaning products and personal hygiene products. It is through the collection of non-perishable food, basic food baskets and cash donations that the campaign intends to continue serving these families and others that may need them.

MARÉ DEVELOPMENT NETWORKS ASSOCIATION (RJ)

Redes de Desenvolvimento da Maré is a civil society institution that produces knowledge, develops projects and actions to ensure effective public policies that improve the lives of the 140 thousand residents of the 16 favelas of Maré. Redes da Maré has been operating for more than 20 years through four axes considered to be structural to improve the quality of life and guarantee basic rights of the population of Maré. Link: www.redesdamare.org.br. The process that led to the creation of Redes da Maré began in 1997, based on the initiative of residents and former residents from some of the 16 favelas that make up Maré and other parts of the city of Rio de Janeiro. The majority of this group was part of the population of less than 0.5% who managed to have access to university in the region and who also participated in social and community movements organized to fight for certain basic rights, such as: education, health, culture, sanitation, public lighting, security, among others. In 2007, the institution was formalized with this name 'Redes da Maré', based on the understanding that the exercise of citizenship by residents in the city must be based on a comprehensive and procedural project that values the social role of citizens, their collective actions and that has, as an assumption, respect for differences and diversity, as well as criticism of social inequalities currently existing in the country and in Rio de Janeiro. In about 40 social projects, we directly benefit more than 4 thousand residents, in addition to their families and neighbors. In the field of art and culture, we work to democratize the various artistic languages as elements for local development and for the symbolic resignification of Maré.

IT'S OUR COLOR (SC)

É Da Nossa Cor is a social initiative that was born in February 2014, with the aim of promoting debate, self-esteem and protagonism through Afro-Brazilian culture. Conceived by Mathizy Pinheiro, together with Djavan Nascimento, where they realized, from the outburst of the children stating that if they could choose, they would not be black, but blondes with blue eyes. They are residents of Monte Serrat, a remnant quilombo community, being the second community in Florianópolis with the largest contingent of Afro population. With this, recognizing conflicts experienced in childhood, they began through culture to emphasize the importance of the history and contribution of African-Brazilian and African-Diasporic culture to the world, with workshops on affirmative cinema, dance, percussion and singing. Understanding Afro-Brazilian culture in addition to artistic modality, but as an appreciation of the tradition and history of a people based on their civilizing values. And so, understanding Racism as a violence that impacts on the subjective, relationships and structures generating social exclusion, the initiative seeks to promote social inclusion of children and adolescents through Afro-Brazilian culture, protagonism and self-esteem. As a way to promote social inclusion, cultural workshops are held, tours for them to have access to different social spaces, as well as promoting presentations, where Afro-Brazilian history and culture can be presented as a space for everyone and the appreciation of Afro culture. - diasporic is done in a light and playful way. The initiative currently has larger proportions, and already manages to propose some punctual actions for larger audiences with artistic presentations and open events / workshops, however, it is still a challenge to build ways to make it self sustainable and expand the capacity to accommodate more children, as well as promoting other necessary actions, and with that it has been trying to build itself as a social impact business. We currently have an initiative management team, involving Psychologist, Social Worker, Business Manager and Systems Analyst proposing different actions in three central pillars of action: Access to law; Protagonism and Self-Esteem through Afro-Brazilian Culture; Development Opportunities. Objective: To promote healthy and non-violent actions and methodologies to combat racism with children and adolescents from Monte Serrat through Afro-Brazilian culture.

MARLENE COLE FUND (SP)

D ue to the closure of all theaters, concert halls, circuses, cultural centers and all kinds of public event in São Paulo, as anti-coronavirus action measure, all seasons, circulations and shows tests of the performing arts were interrupted in March leaving a huge contingent of professionals in the field without any source of income. From this urgency to support those most in need, the Marlene Colé Fund (FMC) has teamed up with partners to expand the assistance campaign for performing arts professionals. The management of the Marlene Colé Fund is in charge of the APTI-Association of Independent Theater Producers, headquartered in the Capital Paulista. The fund is concerned with the transparency of its actions and the list of people who have received the benefit of the food aid card, as well as the donors who have made it possible to disclose their names are available on the website. The FMC also counted on the participation of artists, as in the GivenGet campaign that promoted, through a lottery, an exclusive chat with celebrities such as Larissa Manoela, Cauã Reymond, Tony Ramos, Chay Suede, Juliana Paes and Fábio Porchat. The actor and singer Juan Alba made a live with fundraising through a QR Code on the screen during the broadcast. The actor Elias Andratto will donate part of the box office of his solo show Pessoa, currently playing for Sympla Digital, in addition to other artists. Our goal is to get assistance for the more than 30 thousand families in the State of São Paulo, supporting professionals who were the first to have their activities suspended and who will probably be the last to return to normalcy.

Raiz da Serra Institute (SP)

The Raiz da Serra Institute arises from the need to take art and permaculture as a form of autonomy, engagement and freedom of expression to the Jabaquara region. The place where we established our headquarters was, for many years, an abandoned house that ended up being the target of deterioration of users and disposal of rubble from people in the region. With that, since we took over the site, we are under development to renovate the entire area, following our concepts. Our project was signed on 03/03/2020, but in fact, we had already been developing social projects independently. So we decided to unite some social enterprises to have a greater impact. PE LA VIDA DE OUR MOTHERS (RJ)

With the contagious spread of Covid-19 in Brazil, daughters and sons of domestic workers and day laborers came together to create the movement for the life of our mothers, which fights for measures to protect the health and well-being of these professionals and their families. In March, the movement released a manifest letter written by more than 70 people - children and grandchildren of domestic workers and day laborers, from six Brazilian states and Egypt - addressed to the government, employers and civil society, demanding that professionals also remain in social isolation and continue to be paid. According to the IBGE, Brazil has more than six million domestic workers, mostly black women from low-income families who work informally. The activity is classified by the Institute for Applied Economic Research (IPEA) as a precarious activity, with low income and low social protection. After the death by Covid-19 of a resident of Miguel Pereira (RJ), infected by the employer who had just arrived from Italy, the group intensified the urgency of immediate paid isolation for the category, launching a petition, which today has more 115 thousand signatures. Despite the repercussions, many professionals were dismissed without salary or benefits and are already experiencing difficulties. “When we found that some of these women had been released without pay, and that they are the sole providers of their homes, the need arises to take a step further and try to do something that minimizes the effects of the pandemic on these women's lives,” he says. Juliana França, daughter of a domestic worker and member of the movement for the life of our mothers.
